Approach and Result The University of Utrecht set up a real estate investment program of around 600 million Euros with a running time of approx. 15 years. Aestate took care of the program management of the housing planning. For these long-term investment plans Rob Frederix developed a financial and economic administration framework that was geared to bringing into balance the expected exploitation costs of housing and the allotted budget funds. For a period of six months he acted as interim controller in charge of ‘planning and control’ of the housing department.
